Cocktail Class: PROHIBITION - THURSDAY APRIL 2 2026 @ 7 p.m.
PROHIBITION: APRIL 2 2026, 7PM - 9PM
These days in 2026, it is common for cocktail drinkers in Toronto to be familiar with the odd “speakeasy” that they can go to in the city. But if BlogTO posts about it, it ain’t a speakeasy. If your friend Chuck found it on Yelp, it ain’t a speakeasy.
From 1920-1933, if you wanted a tipple and were looking to get tight, you had to risk breaking the law and go to a real speakeasy to enjoy spirits mixed into cocktails such as The Bee’s Knees, Mark Pickford, or even the wonderfully-named, Hanky Panky.
A hundred years later, we are fortunate enough to be able to play pretend and find a speakeasy behind an art gallery, for example. But wouldn't it be cool and neat to have friends over and turn your own home into one? After taking this class, you’ll have learned how to make three Prohibition Era cocktails and be able to do just that.
Time: 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Location: 90 Cawthra Ave Suite 100, Toronto, ON
